Position Summary

Responsible for operating tractors and grounds maintenance equipment to maintain lawns, landscapes, roadways, and outdoor facilities in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Keep green areas properly maintained and clean according to the landscaping plan. This includes: operating the tractor, trimmer, trim and collecting the grass, and depositing it in the established place according to the contract.
  • Ability to operate various types of power equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, grass tractor, pressure washer, and other landscaping equipment.
  • Remove and throw away all types of solid waste and recycling. You must transfer the same (solid waste and recycling) to the assigned area, according to the contract where you are providing services.
  • Responsible for verifying tractor maintenance to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order before use. Immediately report vehicle defects, accidents, or damage to the vehicles to Supervisor.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or washing machinery.
  • Responsible for applying and/or spreading herbicides onto green areas.
  • Responsible for adding water to green areas as needed in all areas of the contract.
  • Use hand tools and other types of machinery required for performing landscaping duties such as: shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, or axes.
  • Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment. For example: masks, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, back brace belt, etc.
  • Keep your storage area clean, organized and stocked at all times.
  • Clean the equipment and tools used. If you observe any difficulty or problem with any work equipment, you must immediately notify your Supervisor.
  • Lift up to a maximum of 50 lbs.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Aspire to the highest possible standard of excellence in the performance of your job responsibilities.
  • Make good use and management of the transportation provided by the company to travel internally for exclusive work reasons within the contract.
  • Perform any type of service required by the contract and established by your immediate supervisor.
  • Participate in supervision meetings, training, and required safety programs.
  • Follow all policies outlined in the site procedures manual and Fora Employee Handbook.
  • Maintain a workplace free of harassment, discrimination, and unsafe conditions.
  • Report concerns regarding safety, harassment, or discrimination to a supervisor, operations manager or HR.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Commitment to TCS mission of creating employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
