Fora hosts successful job fair at Garden City headquarters
On May 6th, Fora welcomed job seekers from across the region to its headquarters in Garden City for a successful and inspiring job fair focused on connecting individuals with disabilities to meaningful employment opportunities.

Approximately 50 individuals attended the event, where they completed applications and participated in interviews with Fora’s Vocational Rehabilitation and Management Teams. The job fair provided candidates with the opportunity to learn more about Fora’s employment programs, discuss their skills and career goals, and explore a wide range of available positions.
Fora is currently hiring for opportunities throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County, New York City, and beyond in a variety of industries. Available positions include maintenance, janitorial services, clerical work, wait staff, housekeeping, cooks, and call center roles, offering individuals the opportunity to find employment that matches their skills, interests, and career goals.
The event also highlighted Fora’s strong partnerships with businesses, government agencies, employment service organizations, workforce development agencies, and community organizations that help create and expand employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Through these collaborations, Fora is able to develop meaningful workforce opportunities while helping organizations meet their staffing needs with dedicated and talented employees.

Throughout the day, applicants met one-on-one with Fora’s hiring representatives and vocational counselors, who provided guidance, support, and information about the hiring process. Attendees also learned about the supportive services and career development resources available through Fora to help individuals succeed in the workplace.
The strong turnout highlighted the growing demand for inclusive employment opportunities and demonstrated the importance of creating accessible pathways into the workforce.
As Fora continues expanding its employment programs across Long Island, Albany, New Jersey, and New York City, the organization remains committed to building partnerships that open doors for individuals with disabilities and strengthen workforce inclusion throughout the region.
